Is your doggo super smart? Did you ever want to learn how to teach complex tricks and how to string tricks together? K9 awareness is hosting a Trick Dog class! Learn new skills to help your dog thrive. Comes in handy in winter months when we need activities!

Dogs NEED to know basic commends such as sit/down.

Dogs also NEED to be able to be in a room with multiple dogs.

Bring treats and food but DO NOT feed your dog breakfast before they attend class! This is VERY important!

Dog confidence Building Class

COST: $220 + GST 5 Week duration

Does your dog lack confidence? This can look like barking at strangers or other dogs on walks, or entering your home and being unsure of their surroundings. This 5 week confidence building class will help get you on the right track with your dog and work toward solving your problems . By setting the ground work and the proper structure this class provides, you and your dog will be well on the way to happier walks and visits.

PATIO PUPS TRAINING

Get your dog ready to be the ultimate companion with this training program!

Our Immersive, week-long (DAILY DROP OFF) Patio Pups program is designed to help your dog develop calm confidence in new environments, build positive social skills, and enhance their overall manners. Throughout the week, your dog will engage in structured activities that focus on essential obedience skills, loose leash walking, and respectful behaviour around other dogs and people. With professional guidance from Terra Maclean and a supportive setting, Patio Pups fosters balanced behaviour, setting the foundation for a happier, well-mannered companion. Drop off your dog on your way to work, and pick them up on your way home. Your precious pup will be working and learning just as much as you are during your work week. When your dog isn’t busy learning new life skills , they will be at the daycare playing and making new friends. At the end of the long week both you and your dog can relax on a patio!

K9 LIFE SKILLS

K9 Life Skills – Advanced Training for Real Life Adventures

Ready to take your dog’s training to the next level? Our K9 Life Skills class is designed for dogs who already have the basics down and are ready to put their manners to the test in real-world situations. With summer right around the corner, now’s the perfect time to tighten up your pup’s skills before heading out on all your warm-weather adventures!

In this advanced-level class, we’ll focus on proofing essential life skills such as:

  • Leash walking with distractions

  • Reliable recall in exciting environments

  • Settling at patios and other public spaces

  • Polite greetings with people and other dogs

  • And much more!

Whether you're planning park outings, cafe visits, or beach days, Dog Life Skills will help ensure your pup is ready to confidently (and politely) join in on the fun.

Prerequisite: Behaviour Level 1 or other equivalent class

Rally Obedience Intro Class

Cost: $220 + GST 4 week Duration

Must be 6 months or older

Rally Obedience (Rally-O) is a fun and engaging dog sport that builds teamwork, focus, and obedience skills. In this class, handlers and their dogs will learn to navigate a course with numbered signs, each indicating a different obedience exercise. Unlike traditional obedience, Rally allows for continuous communication and encouragement, making it a positive and rewarding experience for both dog and handler.

This class will cover:

  • Introduction to Rally signs and exercises

  • Course navigation and handling techniques

  • Improving focus and engagement

  • Strengthening teamwork and communication

  • Building confidence for both dog and handler

Rally Obedience: Novice to Intermediate

NEXT CLASS START DATE: March 12 to April 2, 2025 (Weekly on Wednesday’s at 7:45pm)

Cost: $200 + GST 4 week Duration ($15 drop in if the class does not fill)

Rally Obedience (Rally-O) is a structured course where dog-handler teams navigate a series of stations with specific obedience exercises. Moving from Novice to Intermediate, the coursework builds on foundational skills with added complexity.

Reactivity Workshop

Next class start date: February 9, 2025 from 1pm to 3pm| with a return private session the following week

Reactivity Seminar

  • A 2-hour seminar designed to teach you effective strategies for managing reactivity

  • Includes demonstrations to help you understand key techniques

  • After the seminar, each attendee receives a personalized one-on-one session with their dog



PUPPY CLASSES

Puppy Socializing & Fundamentals Classes

Thursday, May 29 - June 26, 2025 at 6:30 pm (Weekly on Thursday’s)

Investment: $240 + TAX - 5 classes, 1 hour, 5 week duration

Age requirement: 2 to 6 months (2nd set of vaccines required)

Puppy Fundamentals focuses on setting your puppy up for success by covering:

  • Socialization skills

  • Key do's and don'ts for raising a well-behaved pup

  • Essential commands like sit, lay down, stay, and recall

  • Loose-leash walking techniques

  • Proper greetings with both humans and other dogs


Adult (over 6 months) Dog Classes

Behaviour Level 1

Investment: $240 + TAX - classes are 1 hour, 5 week duration

Age requirement: *6 months or older

Behavior Level 1

  • For dogs over 6 months old

  • Focuses on basic obedience: sit, down, stay, and loose-leash walking

  • Teaches proper greetings with humans and other dogs

  • Covers essential skills for your dog's development into adulthood

  • Helps address bad habits in more energetic or unruly dogs

  • Includes off-leash skills and recall training with distractions

NOTE: All classes become nonrefundable 48 hours prior to the class start date

Behaviour level 2

NEXT CLASS START DATE:

Wednesday, April 9th - May 7th, 2025 at 8:00pm (Weekly on Wednesday’s)

Investment: $240+ TAX - 5 classes, 1 hour, 5 week duration

requirement: Completion of puppy fundamentals class or bl1

Behavior Level 2

  • Designed for dogs familiar with basic commands like sit, down, and stay

  • Suitable for dogs comfortable working near other dogs

  • Focuses on advanced skills, including off-leash recall with distractions

  • Teaches how to maintain commands when the owner leaves the room

  • Establishes off-leash walking with distractions and mastering place commands

  • Puppy fundamentals or Behavior Level 1 is a requirement for this class

Day Training

Day Training is a drop off program where your dog is socialized and trained while you are at work. We offer Day Training Monday through Thursday and your dog can be dropped off anytime after we open (6:30am) and picked up after 4:30pm but before 6pm when we close!

Day Training

  • Complements the training you’re doing at home

  • Helps generalize your dog’s behavior in different environments

  • Focuses on building confidence and learning new skills

  • Covers basic obedience and socialization

  • Addresses issues like leash pulling and leash reactivity
